Intercoiffure, a label of international quality

First international organization of high quality hairdressing, Intercoiffure counts over 3,000 salons spread in 55 countries. You will find them in capitals such as Paris, New York, Tokyo, Berlin, London, Rome. The leaders of these salons are fashion orientated, keen in expanding their profession and ready to share their knowledge as part of the respect of moral values.

The Head Office of Intercoiffure Mondial called ”House of Nations” used to be located in the heart of Paris fashion district and is open to all the Intercoiffure members from around the world. Intercoiffure Mondial has moved to its new ”House of Nations” located 249 rue Saint-Martin 75003 Paris.

Intercoiffure

History

L´association Internationale des Maitre Coiffeurs de Dames (I.C.D)was founded in 1925 in Germany by hairdressers from Switzerland, Germany, France and England.

In 1930, France created its own section. After the Second World War, the famous hair designer Guillaume took the destiny of Intercoiffure in his hands. His successors at the head of our association were John Pfeil, Alexandre de Paris and Maurice Franck.

Since the World Congress in Berlin in September 2000, the presidency has been entrusted to Klaus Peter Ochs who clearly defined his objectives:

Develop the number of members yet preserving the philosophy of Intercoiffue, obtain 3000 members in 55 countries.
Intensify, under the banner of the ”Foundation Guillaume”, the promotion and the development of the activities of the Juniors of Intercoiffure.
Re-enforce the links of collaboration and friendship with the hair industry.
Take on social responsibility.

Marketing

As part of its international marketing activities, Intercoiffure proposes as panoply of events and communication tools liable to advance and enrich each of its members in a craft where creativity and professional qualities are a must.

The collections
There are 3 collections produced every year, reflecting the latest trends in hair and couture fashion. The main collection is created in Paris by renowned international stylist of our 9 Mondial regions. The updating collection takes place in a fashion city. The ”Street Fashion Collection” are produced alternately in a capital city of one of our Regions.

Mondial performance
The event of the year in Intercoiffure takes place in Paris in September. This day is dedicated to hairdressing fashion and elegance by our best international stylists and punctuated by the exclusive presentation of Intercoiffure’s own Collection. Thanks to the Foundation Guillaume, September in Paris is also the marvelous opportunity for our young people to express their talent on stage and to pave the way for promising career. Mondial Performance is a date and place of international exchange which also greatly covered by the press.

World Congress
Every four year a world Congress is held alternately in Europe, America or Asia. This is the ideal and necessary link to the world wide membership to get together. It also provides a fantastic platform for the Sections to express their creative talent.

News letter
A true communication tool between Intercoiffure Mondial, the Sections, the 9 Mondial Regions and Members are accessible on our website and in your mailbox.

Intercoiffure magazine
The magazine is yet another expression of Intercoiffure. It reflects the creations of our international stylists and covers a large variety of topics appealing to both the members and the consumers.

Press
The image of Intercoiffure is well presented and promoted through regular communication with the international trade press and major women magazines. Intercoiffure Mondial has set up a PR and communication service in charge of extending the coverage of Intercoiffure in Trade magazines and women magazines.
